I am a native of Southwest Virginia and an Elder in the United Methodist Church. I have served in the Holston Conference for more then 43 years. My wife, Carolyn, and I have 3 grown childen- Tyler, Troy and Caty.
My favorite scripture is Psalm 116 which says, "I love the Lord..." That and the fact He loves people is the reason for me being a pastor.

I am a mother of two daughters, grandmother of four grown grandchildren and widow of a United Methodist Pastor. I am a second-career clergy woman, having entered the pastoral ministry after a career of 36 years with the Department of Social Services in Virginia. I was given my first appointment in the year 2009 at the age of 65 when I became the Associate Pastor at Pleasant View UMC. God has called me to do so many things I never had any idea I would ever want to do. I love the part of my ministry, that particularly relates to the elderly and grieving segment of our population.

My name is Yolanda Miranda. I am the Spanish pastor here at Pleasant View UMC. I am from Costa Rica orginally and moved to the United States in 1991. I came to Damascus VA to visit some friends, and each time that I visited I loved the people and the area and decided to stay. Once I was here, God called me to start a Spanish ministry. I started a Spanish ministry in Damascus from 1991 to 2003. In 2003 we started the Spanish ministry here at Pleasant View UMC; we met in the chapel room for seven years. We out- grew the chapel and are now at 323 E Main St. here in Abingdon, VA. We have people who worship with us who come from Honduras, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Cuba, Colombia, Mexico, El Salvador & Panama. We are growing each Sunday with people giving their lives to Jesus and wanting to serve him.

Director of Student Ministries
Hunter "HB" Bradley
Hi! My name is Hunter, and I've been doing youth and young adult ministry for a LONG time...over 28 years! I think it's fair to say that ministry to youth and young adults is my passion!
I'm married to Diane, and we have two wonderful boys, Tyler and Tanner. We live on my family's farm just outside of Colonial Heights, TN. I love living in the country and doing all sorts of outside stuff - camping, hiking, skiing, and more! What I love most is helping young people have an intimate, thriving and growing relationship with Jesus! I work hard to make our youth and young adult ministry a welcoming, fun, exciting and fulfilling place where young people can grow in their relationships with God and with each other. I hope you'll want to become involved in the youth or young adult ministry here at Pleasant View!
I am a second career minister having worked in the corporate word in human resources for a number of years. My husband of 40+ years is the Senior Pastor at Pleasant View. I am passionate about creating a safe place for children to learn about God, become disciples of Jesus Christ, and grow in their faith and commitment and I believe we offer that at PVUMC. I am equally passionate about ministries with families and cultivating discipleship.
